RAILING SYSTEMS

We build railings systems of different length, complexity and materials. The products can be solely made of stainless steel and tempered glass or composed of all of the above materials. Guards, handrails, balustrades or wall mount handrails can be designed in modern, classical or luxurious styles as you wish.

Guards

According to the 2006 International Residential Code, "a guard is a building component located near the open sides of elevated walking surfaces that minimizes the possibility of a fall to the lower level".

Guards are generally required on balconies, stairs, ramps and landings that are above 0.76m high. The top hight ought to be 0.9m in the residential buildings, and 1m in the commercial building.

Balustrade

A balustrade would be made up of numerous vertical posts (balusters/bannisters) which are connected together and spaced evenly apart. The balustrades are generally installed under the handrails of a stair and along landings. Consequently, their height and sizes are dictated by sizes of handrails above it. They essentially have three main purposes: Safety, Decoration, Stability.

Handrails

Handrails differ from the guards in the way that they are horizontal or sloping rails intended for grasping by the hand for guidance and support. The height of handrails is required to be between 0.86m to 0.9m above the nose of the tread and be rigid and strong enough to provide adequate support for users.

These are essential parts of staircases, parapets, balconies and elevated walkways.
